Blue Star Memorial
Marker Dedication
Currahee Military Museum
Toccoa, Georgia
May 27, 2015
The Horti-Floral Garden Club of Toccoa, Georgia dedicated this Memorial Marker to remember our past heroes and to honor our current and future heroes. The site for this marker is especially significant because it is at the Currahee Military Museum. The Currahee Mountain near Toccoa is where thousands of US Army Paratroopers received their initial training for the D Day Landings in Europe during World War ll.

The National Garden Club, Inc. Blue Star Memorial Marker Chairman, Andrea Little participated in this dedication.

Blue Star Memorial
Marker Dedication
Honoring with Grateful
Hearts Those Who
Defend Our Freedom
On Monday, May 22, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. the Azalea District and The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. in cooperation with Pine Needle Garden Club of Lincolnton, Georgia dedicated a Blue Star Memorial Marker at the Lincoln County Court House.  It was my pleasure to take these pictures and share them with you today from this wonderful event.

The presentation of the Colors was performed by the
Fort Gordon Color Guard.

The Color Guard certainly represented
themselves, their command and
their service in an excellent manner.

In summary, a very emotional ceremony and the Pine Needle Garden Club of Lincolnton, Georgia is to be congratulated for doing this event.
