Winterizing

Angel Trumpet Flower
"Datura"
I have enjoyed this Flower for many years and every Fall after the First Frost I winterize the Plant.
Once the First Frost happens I cut the stalk flush with the soil. Here is what the stalks look like:
I then pile at least eight inches of leaves mixed with pine straw over the stems. I have now winterized the Angel Trumpet Plants. I have used this procedure each year that I have enjoyed these Flowers and have yet to have a failure.
