 Today I post a series of pictures from the Blue Star Memorial Marker Dedication/Unveiling held  on Friday, November 30, 2012.  The Marker was sponsored by the Camellia District of the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. in cooperation with Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation.

This wreath was constructed by Naomi Gerson, Camellia District Director.

The Warner Robins Chapter of the U. S. Military Veteran's
Motorcycle Club attended the event.

Allegiance was led by SSgt. Venessa Wilson of the
116th Air Control Wing

The History of the Blue Star Marker Program was presented by
Janice Thiese, Blue Star Marker Chairman
The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc.

The Keynote Speaker was Major General
Cornelius "Newt" Nugteren, United States Air Force
(Retired)
General Negteren was the Commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics
Center from 1982 to 1988.
He was very instrumental in developing the Museum of Aviation.

Dedication of the Marker.  Here the Blue Star Marker Chairman

No Dedication can be complete without the support of people from the
appropriate organizations.  Here is the support person from
the Museum of Aviation as he prepares to dismantle the sound equipment.

This Blue Star Marker Dedication on November 30, 2012 is number 2394 in the United States of America.  The Blue Star Markers honor and also remember the Military Heroes who have served, are serving and who will serve in the future.

As but one member of the over 11,000 members of the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. I am very proud of this program.
