Fall Beauty

During a recent Saturday plant hunting trip we stopped by a local merchant and found two Hibiscus plants in full bloom.  Because the merchant wanted to close out the inventory the potted plants were priced at $5.00 each.  Of course we acquired them both.  Here you see one plant that is placed along side of the driveway with other plants.

Never overlook the possibility of obtaining nice plant/s at great prices when you are out shopping!!!!

Creating Beauty
Update

On April 10, 2015 I published a Post about Creating Beauty.  Today I publish an update.  The Indian Feather and the May Night Salvia have not performed well.  I suspect there is too much shade in the area I placed them.  However all of the Bush Daisy Plants and the Coleus are doing well as you can see from the following pictures.  The Coleus are three feet tall and when planted they were six inches tall.  They have performed very well.

Additionally I publish these two pictures which reflect the plantings at our front door as well as the improved mulch, large pine bark nuggets in front of the house.

Blue Star Memorial
Marker Dedication
Currahee Military Museum
Toccoa, Georgia
May 27, 2015
The Horti-Floral Garden Club of Toccoa, Georgia dedicated this Memorial Marker to remember our past heroes and to honor our current and future heroes. The site for this marker is especially significant because it is at the Currahee Military Museum. The Currahee Mountain near Toccoa is where thousands of US Army Paratroopers received their initial training for the D Day Landings in Europe during World War ll.

The National Garden Club, Inc. Blue Star Memorial Marker Chairman, Andrea Little participated in this dedication.
