The Union Point Garden Club rededicated this Marker after it had been refurbished. Prior to the Ceremony these pictures were taken:
The President of the Club, Jan Brazier Welcomed everyone.
The Invocation was given by Lanier Rhodes, Mayor of Union Point.
The Pledge of Allegiance was let by Cadet Colonel Annie Hall, Group Commander JROTC GA 939 "Tiger Group"
The National Anthem was preformed by Demetria Lowe, a Member of the Garden Club
Sherley Selman, a Member of the Garden Club recognized Guest and then introduced the President, The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. Barbara Bourque, who Welcomed everyone and Commended the Union Point Garden Club on the Refurbishment of the Marker and their Dedication to the Military Members of the Nation who Have Served, Are Serving and Those Who Will Serve
The History of the Blue Star Marker Program was presented by Peggy Glover, Blue Star Memorial Marker Chairman, Azalea District, The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc.
The Rededication of the By-Way Marker was conducted by Janice Thiese, Blue Star Memorial Chairman, The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc,
A Certificate of
Appreciation from the Garden Club of Georgia was then presented to the
Union Point Garden Club for their Refurbishment and Rededication of this Marker
Closing Remarks were delivered by Jan Brazier, President of the Union Point Garden Club followed by the Benediction by Mayor Lanier Rhodes
A reception was Hosted by the Union Point Garden Club at the Community Center of Union Point
