Greetings on behalf of the State.

Sandra Holland - President of the Georgia Federation of
Women's Clubs, Inc. estended Greetings.

Connie Ewing - President of
The Council of Garden Clubs
of Tifton, Inc.


The Invocation was by Dr. Wayne Roe, Senior
Pastor, First Baptist, Tifton.

He is shown here holding a book wich contains the 
Histories of over 100 Heroes from Tift County
and the Surrounding Area who Have Served
our U.S.A.




The Presentaton of Colors was performed by the 
Tift County High School
Junior ROTC Honor Guard.
These Scholars ar let by CMSgt, USAF, Ret.

The Program Included the Pledge of Allegiance and 

The National Anthem wich was led by

Dr. Patrick Bennett, Director of Music Ministry,

First United Methodist, Tifton

The entire Assembly Sang "God Bless the USA" 

The History of the Gold Star Memorial Marker was 
presented by Gail Gibson. President of
Camellia Garden
Club, Tifton
Geni MCook, President of the Georgia Federation 
Women's Club, Tifton Conducted the Dedication of the Marker.


The Gold Star Marker was unveiled by
Gail Gibson and Genie McCook.
During the History of the Gold Star Marker we
were informed that Ms. McCook is the Daughter of a
World War Hero and that she is a Member of the Gold Star
Family which this Marker Honors


The Marker was accepted by Jack Stone who
stored the Marker at this Business until it could be installed.
Mr. Stone is a U. S. Army Veteran.

As the Dedication Concluded a Tribute of Flowers
was placed by Sandra Spearman and Sara Hanchey

"TAPS" 
was performed by Ron Griffin









It was a cold, but an emotional event as this, the Fifth Gold Star Memorial in the State 
of Georgia was Dedicated.
