Lenten Roses

These flowers, also known as Helleboros have bloomed as early as Christmas, however this year they are later than usual. The blooms usually hang down so in past years I have used my hand to take the picture. This year I constructed a device to hold the blooms upright, which made it much easier to get excellent photographs. This is the device:
This is a twig that I collected in the Garden and simply broke it off to the proper length.
These are the pictures I was then able to capture!
I then made a collage which I will have a backing sheet made so I can display them all on one poster!!
Take the time when it is cloudy to acquire pictures from your own gardens so you can enjoy them in the future.
